| Stacy Mitchhart
plays an electric—and electrifying—blend of blues, gospel, rock, and
other classic and contemporary styles. His exciting live performances
have gained the praise of audiences around the globe. Mitchhart was born
in Cincinnati and began playing guitar at the age of 9. He developed his
technique by borrowing from early influences ranging from soul and jazz
to the contemporary, electric blues of Bobby Blue Bland, B.B. King, and
Carlos Santana. Mitchhart moved to Nashville in 1996 and took up
residency as the house band for BB Kings in Nashville. Mitchhart and the
band have released eight full-length albums and have received numerous
awards, including the New York Blues and Jazz Society’s Best Album award
for 2001’s “What I Feel”, the 2003 Albert King Award for Best Guitar
Player and the Music City Blues Society’s Electric Blues Act of the Year
award in 2004.
